Quality - Research, Evaluation, Supervision and Monitoring
Research, Evaluation, Supervision, and Monitoring is one of the critical focus areas for successful implementation of the SSA programme. The various activities conducted under SSA such as Civil works, Teacher training etc. are required to be assessed, monitored, evaluated, and revamped if necessary on the basis of the feedback and mid term evaluation. Therefore, this intervention is an important activity under SSA to ensure high quality learning and implementation of the program.

The State conducts various activities under Research, Evaluation, Supervision, and Monitoring which are mentioned below:
  • DISE and School Development Plan (SDP) data collection and inconsistency checking
  • 5% Sample checking of DISE and SDP data
  • Household surveys
  • Maintaining Village Education Records
  • Third party evaluation of civil works
  • Conducting action oriented research projects related to different interventions
  • Monitoring the growth of learning achievement periodically
  • Conducting pedagogical research studies through SCERT, TBB or NGO
  • Conducting seminars on Continuous Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE)
  • Sharing and disseminating research findings and enabling implementation of programmes based on research results
